Explore Murfreesboro’s Natural Beauty 

Middle Tennessee has breathtaking beauty for those who know where to find it, and Murfreesboro is no exception. The Murfreesboro Greenway, which has several access points across town, is a tree-lined trail that spans 13 miles. Parts of the trail run along Lytle Creek and the Stones River, where fishing is allowed. Greenway-goers can also walk, run, bike, rollerblade, and take their leashed dogs for exercise. For the hikers, Barfield Crescent Park has over 7 miles of trails for hiking, as well as disc golf! There really is nowhere you can go wrong when exploring the natural beauty of the geographic center of Tennessee. 

Experience Local Civil War History

There is plenty to offer for the history buffs! Did you know that Murfreesboro was the capital of Tennessee from 1818-1826? It is also well known for its Civil War significance. The nearby Oaklands Mansion is a former plantation home that has been restored to its Civil War era beauty.
